Valla Beach Tavern
Capturing the laid-back spirit of the mid-north coast — blending salt, sun, and surf culture into a fresh new visual direction
Set along the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Valla Beach Tavern is a local icon brought back to life with a fresh perspective. With new ownership and a major renovation underway, the brief was to develop a brand identity that celebrated the laid-back charm of the town while setting the venue up for a new era. The result is a nostalgic, surf-inspired visual identity that’s bold, welcoming, and built for community.
We wanted the brand to feel like a local classic from day one. Inspired by vintage beach towns, classic branding and sun-faded postcards, we created a bold, easygoing identity built around a custom wordmark and illustrated palm tree. The colour palette brings coastal punch with surfy reds, deep navy and warm white, while badge-style graphics and playful illustrations add flexibility across menus, merch and signage.
The refreshed identity reintroduces Valla Beach Tavern as a vibrant, local-first venue with a sense of place and purpose. The brand feels relaxed but considered — a new chapter grounded in community, good times, and a distinctly coastal attitude.
